7 ways to make your masking process smarter
Does masking feel like tedious work? Did you know that there are smart maskings that could make your life a little easier, and a lot more efficient? Check out these examples!
-
Friction reduction
Maskings with rills on the inside? The reason behind most rills is to reduce friction, which speeds up the handling process. Give GAQ, SSR or GTM a try.
-
Slitback
Wrapping with a slitback makes the discs a lot quicker to detach and use. Check out ERX or ERS to try this.
-
Target rings
Discs printed with target rings are a lot easier to centre over holes! Make ERX your new go-to disk.
-
Grip
Plugs and maskings with proper grip will make your work both faster and more ergonomical. GBH or GKW have great grip for example.
-
Hang and mask simultaneously
GHH, GHA and QB make it possible to do two things at the same time.
-
Use ventilated maskings to avoid trapped hot air
Trapped hot air expands and builds up pressure, which can push normal maskings out of place. By using our ventilated maskings such as GAP, GAQ or GVM, you can avoid this effect.
-
Minimize coating edges
The transition between coated and masked surfaces can sometimes be quite sharp. Shading the transition zone with maskings such as GKW, is a good way to avoid this issue.
